Corrections log

One wrong number is one too many. When we get one wrong, we fix it and list it here, newest first.

No corrections yet. When we get a number wrong, it will be listed here.

How to report an error

Email contact@pricedoutusa.com with the page, the figure you think is wrong, and the source you are comparing it to. Most mismatches turn out to be a different date or a different series, and the source lets us check quickly.

What every entry shows

The date we fixed it
Where it appeared
The wrong figure and the corrected figure
The source, and what went wrong

Routine updates, such as a new week of EIA prices replacing the last one, are not corrections and don’t appear here. Revisions that a source makes to its own published numbers are noted when we pick them up.
